Web Weather Briefing System

The Web Weather Briefing System it is an extension to the WebULTIMA product and provides "zero foot-print" Web-based capability to access weather information in all available formats (A/N, charts, images, etc.). The Web Weather Briefing System is a powerful Geographical Information System (GIS) using the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standard for Web Map Service (WMS), designed to present weather information in a graphical format on a geographic map background.

 

Other Web Weather Briefing System Features include:

  • Visualization tool which can display various types of geographical data

  • Can interface with ULTIMA (powerful WAFS server application) and can handle meteorological data from other sources as well

  • Generates alarms and warnings on verification of specific weather conditions that have been predefined on the system
