IES Canada has attained a lot of expertise in the field of meteorology by virtue of having implemented a number of systems for Environment Canada (then the Atmospheric Environment Service - AES - of Canada), and for Meteorological/Aviation departments of numerous countries around the world. IES Canada  has also developed a WorkStation (ULTIMA) for processing  weather information distributed via two international networks known as SADIS and ISCS.  IES Canada is currently transferring this experience and expertise to IES India. With strong training and assistance by IES Canada, IES India is positioning itself to be a major systems developer for the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) and other meteorological information producers and users in India and in neighboring countries.

The systems in the area of meteorology cover processing and display of various forms of meteorological information (alphanumeric, grib, and satellite and radar imagery), networking (terrestrial and satellite-based), digitizing hard copy products, archival systems and climatology.

In addition to providing systems, IES India also provides meteorological products such as sensors, data loggers, radars, ceilometers, visibility meters, etc. in collaboration with various world renowned companies.  IES has recently supplied Data Collection Platforms which transmit data to IMD’s Direct Readout Ground Station via INSAT. 

Due to a very large population, water is an important and vital natural resource for India.  In order to ensure its adequate supply, it is important for India to manage its water resource properly.  The mandate of IES India is to provide expertise to India in the field of hydrology to manage this vital resource.  IES works in collaboration with its partner companies to supply sensors, Data Loggers and transmitters.  In addition to the equipment, we provide system design and integration services in the following areas:

1.    Agricultural Meteorological Stations

2.    Stream Gauging & Hydrologic Monitoring Stations

3.    Flood Warning Stations

4.    Irrigation Monitoring and Control Stations

5.    Automatic Lake Information System (A.L.I.S.)

6.    Sea Level Monitoring Stations (NGWLMS i.e. Next Generation Water Level Measurement System)

IES also collaborates with WAPCOS (Water and Power Consultancy Services) of India for hydrology and water management projects.  

IES India plans to provide services in the field of seismology to the Indian Government departments.  It is associating itself with world class equipment suppliers for motion detectors, communications systems and Data Acquisition and Data Analysis Systems.  

Air, Water and Soil are extremely important entities for sustaining life on this planet. Due to the growth in population, many countries including India are having acute problem of pollution. IES in association with world-class company Roche Consulting Group provide services in the field of pollution monitoring.  IES in collaboration with Roche plans to establish laboratories in India where the customers can bring samples of air/water/soil and get them analyzed.
