Ultima

In a new generation of IES products, ULTIMA is the successor to HI-WIPS. It is a powerful PC-based workstation, which is capable of receiving information from ICAO/WMO systems SADIS, and WAFS/ISCS, and can also be interfaced with a variety of other systems by simply changing the input driver.  It interfaces with satellite channels to receive and handle bulletins, charts (T4, BUFR), GRIB and imagery data.

ULTIMA performs all the functionalities required by a Weather Briefing Workstation. One can query the meteorological database and display and manipulate graphical products (charts & images). In addition to providing the basic display/printing functions most apparent to the user, ULTIMA also provides a host of functions to enhance system capabilities.  These utility integrated functions let a user define Weather Stations, Weather Station Sets, Route Weather Station Sets, Slide Shows, animation loops, etc.  These functions, though they are part of most competitive systems, are provided with cumbersome editors or other file editing utilities.  ULTIMAIES overcomes this burden.

ULTIMA utilizes the latest hardware technology available in the market.  It is assembled from the finest components, all of which are easily replaced, in case of failure, with equivalent components available in any country.  This facilitates the system maintenance. 

Since SADIS plans to distribute BUFR data starting from middle of March 2000, the current HI-WIPS users can upgrade their systems to ULTIMA for a preferred price. By purchasing or upgrading to ULTIMA the benefits of having one of the finest, most optimized, and most responsive PC-based system available in the market becomes instantly apparent.

Generic Viewer (GV) - Forecasting Tool

Another product which we have recently developed is Generic Viewer (GV). GV is a Weather Forecasting Workstation dealing with all types of meteorological data: BUFR, GRIB, Alphanumeric and Fax data. GV is a powerful display system for Satellite Imagery, Telemetry, and Derived products (Water Vapor Winds (WVW), Cloud Motion Vectors (CMV), Sea Surface Temperature (SST), Vegetation Indices (VI), Himalayan Snow Cover (HSCAS), Quantitative Precipitation Estimation (QPE) etc.
